Planning the plan
Vision implies distance. The distance could be 3 feet or as far as the east is from the west but the wherewithal to conquer the distance means the willingness to realize the vision. If you do not possess the skills to break the distance into steps that can be executed then that is an opportunity to partner with a coach to provide focus and accountability. The journey is not solely about making the steps and executing them but take some time to really analyze the journey and discuss common pitfalls.
Visions have been realized and visions have been deferred. There is no “one size fits all” solution but practicing planning the plan will provide clarity and shaping to conversations with everyone involved. Taking time to think, write and communicate will provide a sense of clarity of the journey to the vision. For those leading people without a vision, please seek counsel before you lead people off a cliff.
